Rockingham Ambulance Picked to Provide Exclusive Services to Candia, NH

March 13, 2001- On April 1, 2001, Rockingham Ambulance will begin providing exclusive paramedic level transport services to the Town of Candia, NH. Located to the east of Manchester, NH, where Rockingham also provides exclusive transport services, Candia is a rural community of nearly 4,000 residents.

This is the first time that the residents of the Town of Candia will be receiving all paramedic level services from a contracted ambulance provider. Town Selectman voted on Monday evening March 12, 2001 to accept the Rockingham bid for services and awarded them a 5 year agreement. Rockingham will replace the current provider, American Medical Response (AMR) and immediately upgrade the service level to paramedic for the community.

"We look forward to providing services to Candia. We intend to immediately upgrade the service level and to become an active part of the health and safety of the community" commented Chris Stawasz, Executive Director of Rockingham Ambulance. "Our staff is excited about this new contract. They have earned it through the hard work and dedication they provide the other communities we serve. As NH's only nationally accredited ambulance service, we believe that we set the standard for patient care in the area", Stawasz said. "We look forward to being able to extend that high quality care to Candia" he said.
