City of Nashua, NH Selects Rockingham Ambulance To Continue Providing Services

November 23, 2004 - The City of Nashua, NH has selected Rockingham Regional Ambulance, Inc. to continue to provide exclusive 9-1-1 paramedic level ALS transport services to the community. The new five-year agreement begins July 1, 2004 and also contains two additional one-year extension options running the total length of the agreement until 2011.

The new agreement calls for enhanced services to the community by providing an additional 24/7 dedicated paramedic level ALS transport unit. Rockingham will now provide 3 dedicated 24/7 paramedic level ALS transport units to the City of Nashua along with multiple non-dedicated back-up paramedic ALS units.

Rockingham has continuously provided exclusive 9-1-1 services to Nashua for the last 25 years.

“We feel that our commitment to Nashua is far superior to what any competitor could offer” said Chris Stawasz, Executive Director of Rockingham Ambulance. “Rockingham is a part of the fabric of this community – it’s our home”, he added. “We have demonstrated time and again our willingness and determination to offer the communities we serve a reasonably priced, yet superior level service” Stawasz continued. “The quality of our dedicated employees and their high level of expertise makes this a great service for this community” he said.

The new agreement requires Rockingham to maintain National Accreditation status from the Commission on Accreditation of Ambulance Services. Rockingham is one of less than 100 ambulance providers nationwide to have achieved this coveted status and the only private ambulance provider in New England.

Rockingham is New Hampshire’s largest 9-1-1 provider. The company employs nearly 130 medics and handles in excess of 30,000 calls annually. It provides exclusive 9-1-1 paramedic level transport services to over 200,000 people in the communities of Nashua, Manchester and Candia, NH. Rockingham also provides inter-facility ALS, BLS, CCT and specialized medical transportation services throughout the southern tier of New Hampshire to numerous medical facilities.
