Town of Candia Extends Rockaingham Ambulance's 9-1-1 Contract

December 5, 2006 - The Town of Candia, NH has decided to extend its agreement with Rockingham Regional Ambulance, Inc to provide exclusive 9-1-1 paramedic level ALS transport services to the community.  The new three-year agreement begins April 1, 2006. Rockingham has provided 9-1-1 transport services to Candia since 2001.

“We are pleased that the Town has the confidence in us to continue this agreement” said Chris Stawasz, Executive Director of Rockingham Ambulance.  “This new agreement will continue to provide Candia with the high level of EMS services that they have come to expect.  It’s a good fit for both the community and Rockingham.”

The new agreement requires Rockingham to maintain National Accreditation status from the Commission on Accreditation of Ambulance Services.  Rockingham is one of less than 100 ambulance providers nationwide to have achieved this coveted status and the only commercial ambulance provider in New Hampshire. “National Accreditation is an independent and unbiased verification of our commitment to being an outstanding provider of medical transportation services.”,  said Stawasz.

Rockingham is New Hampshire’s largest 9-1-1 provider.  The company employs nearly 150 medics and handles in excess of 35,000 calls annually.  It provides exclusive 9-1-1 paramedic level transport services to over 200,000 people in the communities of Nashua, Manchester and Candia, NH.  Rockingham also provides inter-facility ALS, BLS, CCT and specialized medical transportation services throughout the southern tier of New Hampshire to numerous medical facilities.
